After his father abandons them, Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town. Upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including Reverend Bomont who has convinced the town to outlaw dancing in an effort to control the youth. With the help of the Reverend’s rebellious daughter, Ariel, Ren works to convince the Reverend to reverse the rule and find a way to heal from the tragedy that kept their hearts from dancing.
