Pleased with Chef DeJuan
I for one, cannot wait for Tuesday to again enjoy another one of your creative, " to die for" meals. Thank you for giving us so many choices.......you make sure that there is something for everyone. Many times, your meals surpass the plays so I never go home disappointed. You are greatly appreciated.......and I thank Craig for keeping you a happy Chef.
Kevin Mills was outstanding
Another great show!!!! Kevin Mills was outstanding. I even got two kisses and two autographs. Keep up the good work. Jacksonville loves you for rescuing the Alhambra.
Wonderful, something different to do!Excellent service, great food, very entertaining production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! We took my mom, who is 70, for her birthday. And we also had our son, who is 7, along. All of us enjoyed it very much. This was our first visit, but we can't wait for the next show to begin so we can go back. Consider going on someone's BD -- 1/2 price ticket. The Alhambra is a definite must-do! Ang W Jacksonville, FL
Dixie Swim Club was the best!I Loved Dixie Swim Club!!! Best show!! I laughed so much!! Thank you!! Deborah G Jacksonville, FL
Worth checking outWe hadn't been to the Alhambra in years, and were pleasantly surprised when we visited a few weeks ago for the production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. All of us, including two teenagers and a grandma, gave it thumbs up. The food is served now, and was all very good, some items being average, but overall above. Our server was efficient, and when he told the teenage boys they could have something from the kid's buffet in addition to their entree, they were sold on dinner theater! The sound, which can be iffy at smaller venues like this, was fine overall. I remembered it being a bit shabby, but not now; it’s still very dark, but everything seemed in good repair and clean. We will probably try to catch another production as a family in the fall we had such a good time. Family Jacksonville, FL
A fun time for all!The performance, food and service were above par! Enjoyed the company of the people at our table that we didn't know. The building is attractive and well maintained. I'm looking forward to my next visit! JBO Jacksonville, FL
Don't miss thisGreat evening....great show , great meal, great service. An excellent thing to do while in Jacksonville. LS Savannah, GA
More Than a Date Night! We visited the Alhambra for the first time in many years. We were not disappointed. The reservations were simple and easy. The staff was exceptional and friendly. The food was amazing. The show was top-notch. We will definitely be back for another show. The new owner has raised the bar and standard. If you have never been or haven't been in a while, we recommend that you check it out. Smiles abound! Brian F. Jacksonville, FL
Great show, great food!Had not been since the Alhambra came under new ownership. The show was really well done and the food was so much better than under the prior owner. Give it a try! Wendy Jacksonville, FL
Another great evening at the AlhambraLast night we enjoyed another very good evening at the Alhambra Dinner Theater. We thoroughly enjoyed Mash's Loretta Swit in Murder Among Friends - good cast, all around - and there were lots of plot surprises. Everyone at our table of 4 ordered the Prime Rib meal and it was truly delicious. Everything was well-prepared...from the salad to the bread to the prime rib with perfectly seasoned roasted potatoes. Our waitress was very attentive. The entire evening was a delight! Ann S Orange Park, FL
Anniversary treatFor our wedding anniversary, my wife and I went to the Alhambra Dinner Theatre. I'm usually a tad skeptical of some of these places for fear of sub-par food and entertainment. But we were pleasantly suprised on this outing. We were seated promptly and had a very attentive and congenial waiter. One of the nice things about this theatre is that there is a plated, served meal, not a buffet. We had 4 choices for entree, which included a soup or salad, a main course, and a dessert. Due to the nature of the dinner theatre timing, the food came pretty quickly, but I didn't feel like we were rushed. They have a schedule to keep in order to meet the curtain times.
One thing that I was originally concerned about when picking our table online is that there are no tables for two. You share a table with other folks unless you are a party of 6.. I guess like a cruise ship. We shared our table (or should I say we shared THEIR table) since there was 3 of them and only two of us, with a delightful group of people and we chatted all through our dinner. They were 8 year season ticket holders and knew everything and everyone that worked there. It was like being with the owners!
Speaking of the owner, Craig came by the table and was extremely hospitable. He really made us feel at home. He hops onstage just as every show is to start to welcome everyone then goes about giving people "shout-outs" for birthdays and anniversaries. We got ours! It was very nice.
The show we saw was "Murder among Friends", starring Loretta Swit (from MASH). She was fun, very professional, as were all the cast, and the evening flew by. Next thing we knew, we were saying good night to our new friends and out the doors.
If you are looking for something fun to do in Jacksonville that's relatively inexpensive and different, visit the Alhambra Dinner Theatre. and bring friends...or don't...you'll find new ones there! Skip Z Jacksonville, FL
It's been a really long time since I've been to the Alahambra dinner theater, and what an improvement they've made! The show was terrific as before, but the food is drastically better, and long gone is the buffet way of dining. They offer three courses, with a nice selection that wait staff brings to your table. Food was excellent, service prompt, and they have a nice wine selection as well. I'll be going again. Angela S. St. Augustine, FL
Saw Joseph and the Technicolor Dream coat. The food was really very good and the show was great. The setup is good, the tables are on different levels so that everyone can see the stage easily. The tables are all filled so you do sit with strangers if your party doesn't fill the table. I am a fan of dinner theatre and this is by far the best food/show combo I have ever been to. Chivas O

What a FABULOUS night!!!
Tonight I had the PLEASURE of attending your WONDERFUL Alhambra!!! I cannot even begin to put into words what a perfect night it was!!! From the greeters at the door to the staff who served us.....everyone was so courteous, Most surprising of all was the meal. OMG!!!! I have eaten at all the “best” restaurants in this vicinity and can truly tell you that every bite of that meal....,from salad to dessert to drinks was SUPERB!!! The play could easily hold its own in Manhattan!! What talent....every minute was filled with joy!! I truly am awe-struck by what a “perfect” evening tonight became....and I am not only speaking for myself, but for my daughter-in-law and a 9 year old and 12 year old grandchildren!! I am so very thankful for what you have done for this city!! I will be back....many, many, many times!!!! Just sorry you were not there tonight so that I could “praise” you in person! As they say in the South...”you done good!!!”

Just wanted you to know how much my husband, daughter and I enjoyed our Saturday evening at the Alhambra. It had been quite some time since we had been there and were very impressed with the improvements. Everything was beautiful and the food was delicious!!!!! The play and cast were excellent. All employees were very professional and friendly. This is only the beginning for us. We will be back. In fact, I am in the process of putting together a gathering of all the women in our family to see the Swim Club in August. (22 of us). Thank you so much for such a delightful evening!

Last month I treated some of my staff to “Remember Me”. It is an annual event we do because all of these folks have birthdays in September. It was a wonderful celebration coupled by an announcement of their birthdays, roses and a wonderful meal. Along with the enjoyable play. I can’t thank you all enough for making a special time even more special.
All the improvements that have been made are terrific! Especially the food! Wonderful! I have been telling all our friends about how great it is!
I will be returning next week to celebrate the birthday of my husband. He has not been there since the changes have been made. I can tell you that I plan to attend more often and when my adult children ask me what gift I want for special occasions it will be season tickets to the Alhambra. Congratulations on all you have accomplished there it was a wonderful experience!

"I, too, thought the performance of Joyce Dewitt in "Remember Me" was outstanding. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In addition the dinner was excellent. Hats off to Executive Chef DeJuan Roy. My daughter and I both had the Pecan Crusted Salmon entre with the Carrot Cake for dessert. Yummy, yum, yum." - Pat G
"Just wanted to thank ya'll for the dinner/show last night, it was awesome. I was going to thank Robbie on our way out but he high tailed it out of there (must have been past his bed time, I know it was mine) before I could get to him. My husband & I haven't been there in over 25 years but after last night I think that will change." - Paula B
Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes
My husband and I attended "Hank and My Honky - Tonk Heroes" last night to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary (we did not add this to the comments when the tickets were purchased as we did not want fanfare, but a quiet evening together). We have attended at least two to three shows a year since the Alhambra re-opened and have enjoyed every one of our experiences with you.
Last night, the food, my husband had the Alabama smoked chicken and I had the catfish, was over the top! From the salads, through the entree and the desert finale we have not had a better dining experience! The wait staff we had were extraordinary (which is always a consistent theme).
Thank you for making our celebration one that will be in our hearts and memories for many years to come.

My wife and I and some friends had the distinct pleasure of seeing the above show 2 weeks ago. It was truly the best production of any show that we have seen in a long time.
Combined with the fine dinner, there is no doubt but that the Alhambra experience is the very best entertainment value anywhere, much less in Jacksonville. The show itself was better than any $100 or more ticket for one of the traveling road shows that appear downtown, and the intimacy of the Alhambra really allows the audience to experience the quality of the show from a unique perspective.
We are looking forward to returning again and often.
I and a group of friends attended the Alhambra on Sunday June 3rd to see Buddy. It was the most incredible performance I have ever seen on a stage. Ihave never seen an audience so involved in a performance. It was electrifying. The place was rockin'. The food was as good as any gourmet dinner I have ever had. thank you thank you.
thank you for Todd Merridith, Todd Booth you're wonderful music director and you're magnificent chef.
We were all blown away by this amazing afternoon.
Dear Mr. Smith,
I just wanted to tell you that my husband and I have been coming to the Alhambra for about 30 years. This year we have enjoyed A Closer walk with Patsy Cline, actually we came the past two years for the show. Wonderful show.
We were just there Sunday for the final show of Buddy, The Buddy Holly story. I have to say that was the most amazing show we have ever seen. We hope you bring the show back soon. The food was the best yet. We had six of us and we all only had good things to say about our meals and the deserts.I have already purchased our seats for the Hank show and look forward on seeing Phamton and White Christmas.
I would have to say that the line up this year has been the best in a long time.
Keep up the good work.
